Hostage situation underway at Delnor Hospital

- Police fatally shot an armed inmate who took a hospital worker hostage at Geneva Hospital in IL.
Authorities say two nurses were taken hostage at different times during an hours-long standoff with an armed jail inmate at a northern IL hospital. The hospital was closed, and no one was being allowed to enter.
Hostage negotiators and the Kane County SWAT team have arrived at Delnor Hospital in the Chicago suburb of Geneva.
The hostage, a nurse, was apparently not injured, he said.
The standoff had been contained to one section of the emergency room as of late afternoon, when SWAT and crisis negotiation teams were called to the scene.
